Since 2004, PSC has worked on the 220 MW Srepok 3 Hydropower Plant. In 2026, PSC was again entrusted with the expansion project, raising capacity from 220 MW to 330 MW.
Since 2004, PSC has worked on the 220 MW Srepok 3 Hydropower Plant:
- Surveys for the technical design and construction drawing stages;
- Surveys for planning and designing resettlement and relocated farming areas;
- Stability checks of the hydraulic triangulation and levelling networks during operation;
- Grouting treatment of the diversion culvert foundation pit and main dam during operation;
- Structural displacement monitoring during operation.
In 2026, PSC was again entrusted with the Srepok 3 expansion project: adding one 110 MW unit to raise capacity from 220 MW to 330 MW.
Drawing on its experience at the Buon Kuop and Srepok 3 hydropower plants, PSC has fully mastered the extremely complex terrain and geology of the Srepok River.
The terrain is rugged and dissected: the site lies on a plateau along the Srepok River valley, with slopes of varying dissection. The project has thick overburden, highly weathered basalt, residual soils, loose soil and rock, and porous basalt foundations with interconnected cavities that have low strength and are sensitive to changes in moisture.

Reaching survey locations, setting up boreholes and transporting machinery were very difficult because of rain and landslides.
Survey work for design was carried out on a very tight schedule, and with the geological lessons learned at Buon Kuop, PSC’s geological engineers took extra care in assessing the foundation and abutment conditions.
